Dermalogy Extra Volumecurl Metal Maxicara - Black

I was initially insecure about using the wand and had to touch up a few areas after the first few tries. I quickly learned the versatility of the wand. I have extremely sensitive eyes and skin, have lost most of my eyelashes in the past from products by NARS, and reluctantly returned to mascara by skincare brands. The product only leaves some burning at the end of the day, all eye makeup does for me. This is the best formula I have used and I only do 1-2 applications. Excellent for bottom lashes. I also use Tarte's Tartelette Tubing Mascara, which is gummy, leading my right back to this mascara for its finish and wand that allows for detailed application just like painting with a fine brush :)

Zero stars. Horrible. I went from excited (because I adore the NEOGEN line) to intrigued one I cracked it open, to a little confused (was I doing it wrong), to annoyed. The day passed and once it was time to remove, forget it. Double cleanse didn't work. Just awful. What a waste of money.

I like the brush, I've been gravitating towards mascara that has slim brushes lately. I feel like I'm able to get all my lashes even the shortest ones. I get lash lifts so I can't comment whether the mascara actually holds the curl better. I do feel like it helps with length, not so much with volume. Yes it's waterproof, I don't have any issues taking it off. I do double cleanse, first with a cleansing balm and follow up with a cleanser.

The mascara was fine. I'm not quite sure what difference the wand made, but the formula itself gave my lashes a nice boost in both volume and length. It didn't seem to clumpy or spidery, which is always a nice bonus. However, like with every other mascara I've tried, this one did smudge quite a bit. For the record, I do have slightly hooded eyes with oily lids.
